TATRA 815, Granada - Dakar 1996

Sheet metal model of TATRA T 815. It raced in 1996 at the famous Dakar Rally. The route led from Granada to Dakar, and it was the tenth jubilee start in this competition for the TATRA brand. The crew of truck number 400 consisted of three people: Loprais, Stachura and Tomeček. The seasoned crew performed excellently and caught up with the faster Kamaz vehicles on the technical passages. Unfortunately, this year there was confusion among the organizers who changed the route during the competition. This intervention worked againts the car of Karel Loprais and the Czechs had to settle for second place.
